About Alexandra
My name is Alex, and I am currently going into my junior year at the University of Southern California. I am studying Physics and Computer Science, but I am interested in all disciplines in STEM. I am from New York, but I currently live in California for school. In high school, I worked at my school's math center to tutor my peers, and I volunteered at a local community center to help elementary school students with their homework.

As a tutor, I am here to make sure students completely grasp the material they are learning so that they can solve problems on their own. I achieve this by asking questions for the student to consider, rather than outright telling them how to solve the problems. I believe this helps students develop critical thinking skills that will help them succeed. I will provide supplemental practice problems to work on, both simple and more challenging to ensure the student develops effective problem-solving skills. I tutor elementary school, middle school, and high school math as well as some college math (up to multivariable calculus and linear algebra) as well as middle school science and high school physics.
