About Peter

As a full-time physics educator, I work closely with parents as partners in building their child's scientific fluency and lasting problem-solving skills. My focus is on transforming physics-related anxiety into genuine confidence. Whether your child is wrestling with abstract concepts like electromagnetism or kinematics, preparing for demanding senior secondary physics courses, IB, or A-Levels, studying for high-stakes ATAR assessments or university entrance exams, or needs to strengthen their foundational understanding, I provide the patient and expert guidance they need. My role is to work alongside your family, ensuring your child has the robust scientific foundation necessary for university and future STEM careers.

About the lesson

Recognising that every student perceives physics differently, our journey begins by identifying their specific learning style and pinpointing any foundational gaps. Each lesson is carefully structured to make complex topics like mechanics, electricity and magnetism, waves, thermodynamics, and modern physics feel intuitive and logical. We move beyond rote memorisation of formulae to focus on why they work and how they describe the physical world, building a flexible problem-solving framework they can apply to any challenge. Whether your child is preparing for Year 11–12 physics in their Australian state curriculum, IB Diploma, A-Levels, or ATAR success, I tailor lessons to their specific requirements. The goal is to foster deep comprehension and lasting ability, resulting in higher marks and a student who is capable and confident in any quantitative or applied science they face.
