About Callie
My fascination with physics was sparked by observing natural phenomena and questioning the underlying principles that govern the universe. This curiosity led me to pursue a B.Sc in Physics followed by an M.Sc in Astrophysics, providing me with a strong foundation in analytical problem-solving, experimental design, and theoretical reasoning. Over the past 11 years, I have worked closely with students at all academic levels, helping them transform conceptual confusion into clarity and confidence.
I emphasize teaching that combines patience, structured guidance, and individualized attention. Many learners struggle with abstract concepts, so I break down topics step by step, integrate relatable examples, and encourage questioning to foster deep understanding. My approach ensures that learners feel supported while developing independent reasoning skills, enabling them to think critically about complex physical systems.
Beyond teaching, I stay actively engaged in research, reading scientific literature, and exploring emerging concepts in modern physics. This engagement allows me to bring fresh insights, real-world applications, and contextual understanding into the classroom. I guide learners through mechanics, thermodynamics, electricity and magnetism, optics, waves, modern physics, and astrophysics, carefully connecting theoretical principles to everyday phenomena. Each lesson emphasizes not only problem-solving skills but also conceptual clarity, reasoning development, and the ability to explain scientific phenomena in simple, intuitive terms.
For beginners, lessons start with foundational topics, including units and measurements, vectors, forces, motion, energy concepts, and introductory electricity. Intermediate learners expand into more complex problem-solving involving circuits, wave interactions, kinematics, and mathematical derivations. Advanced students explore modern physics concepts, such as relativity, quantum mechanics basics, particle physics, and astrophysical systems, developing sophisticated quantitative and analytical skills.
