About Harry
I hold a 1st-class Master's degree from Imperial College, London in Physics. In my final year, I specialised in quantum information theory and graduated with high marks. Now, I hold an offer to pursue a DPhil (PhD) at the University of Oxford in complexity science, studying how machine- and reinforcement-learning models might help policymakers better understand the economy. As a physicist, I have always relied on a strong intuition for problem-solving and an excellent grasp of the fundamentals. Throughout university, I enjoyed working with colleagues, particularly in seeing how different points of view could approach the same problem. Now, I look forward to helping a new generation of mathematicians and physicists find their own understanding of the natural world and become the cutting-edge problem solvers of the future.

Success in Maths and Physics is rooted in understanding the fundamentals of the discipline. In our lessons together, I will help you to grasp the core concepts that make the whole picture fit together. Your needs as a student will shape the time we spend together; First and foremost, I expect us to have a dialogue about how and what you want to learn. Based on this, I will tailor bespoke lesson plans that will help profoundly elevate your understanding of the material. Most of all, I believe maths and physics are all about practice and play, so we will be doing a lot of drawing out of problems; tinkering with graphs and functions; and working out how the problems under study work at the finest level. We're going to get through a lot of paper together! Having specialised in quantum information theory in my final year of study, and soon to be a doctoral candidate in complexity science at the University of Oxford, I have a wide base of expertise that focuses on the analysis of emergent behaviour in complex systems, which ultimately means understanding how changes at the smallest level of a problem can affect the whole. With this approach to learning, I am open to taking on students at any level. I have over 2 years' experience coaching students for 11- and 13+ entry exams, while having recently graduated, I know exactly what makes a difference to a 1st-year university student's understanding of these subjects.
