# About Me

Hi! I’m a university Physics student offering tutoring in Maths and Physics up to A-level.

I recently completed my first year studying Physics at the University of Exeter, where I received a Dean’s Commendation for Academic Excellence, placing me in the top 3 students in my year. I have a strong understanding of the subject and, importantly, I really enjoy helping others understand concepts that can initially seem difficult or confusing.

My approach to tutoring is to focus on understanding rather than memorising. I’ll break difficult topics down into clear, manageable steps and adapt my teaching to the individual student. Whether you’re struggling with a particular topic, preparing for exams, or looking to push towards the highest grades, I can tailor sessions to your needs.

For Maths, I can help with GCSE and A-level topics, problem-solving, exam technique and building confidence. For Physics, I can cover GCSE and A-level content, calculations, concepts, problem-solving and exam technique.

Having recently completed A-levels myself and now studying Physics at university, I understand the transition between the different levels of study and the challenges students face. I aim to make lessons relaxed, engaging and productive, while giving students the confidence to tackle problems independently.

I’m happy to work with students of different abilities, from those who need help building their foundations to those aiming for the very highest grades.

Every lesson is tailored to the individual student and their goals. We’ll start by identifying the areas they find most challenging, before working through them together in a clear and structured way.

I like to focus on understanding the reasoning behind a solution, rather than simply learning methods by memory. I’ll explain concepts in different ways where needed, work through examples with the student, and then give them the opportunity to tackle questions independently.

For students preparing for exams, lessons can also focus on exam technique, past-paper questions and identifying common mistakes. We can work through difficult questions step-by-step and develop strategies for approaching unfamiliar problems with confidence.

Whether you need help catching up on a difficult topic, preparing for an upcoming exam, or aiming to achieve the highest possible grade, I’ll adapt each lesson to suit your current level and objectives.

Most importantly, I want students to leave each lesson feeling that they understand the material better and are more confident tackling it on their own.
