About Barry
I have 17 years of experience teaching GCSE and A-level Physics for the AQA and Edexcel exam boards. I’m passionate about helping students build confidence and genuinely understand physics, not just memorise it. I’m proud of the results my students achieve: - 63% of my A-level students gain A–A* - 80% of my GCSE students achieve grades 9–7 Many of my students go on to study Physics or Engineering at university, or progress into high-quality apprenticeships.

GCSE and A-level physics lessons are 1 hour long and tailored to the individual student. Each lesson will: 1. Break down key physics concepts into simple, easy-to-understand ideas. 2. Teach proven problem-solving strategies and exam techniques that can be applied across all topics to help you achieve full marks. 3. Provide plenty of guided practice using real exam questions to build confidence and accuracy. I hold a degree in Physics with Space Technology as well as Master’s degrees, and I bring 17 years of teaching experience, including 12 years as Head of Physics. My lessons are focused, supportive, and results-driven.
