About Rachel
I'm Rachel, a fourth-year student at the University of Toronto. I am an ARCT pianist and I have completed ARCT Analysis and Level 10 Harmony & Counterpoint. I have previously taught piano and theory to students in one-on-one and group classes.

Do you want to learn music theory? Need extra help in your theory classes? Stressed about an upcoming exam? I can work through RCM theory curriculums with you, help you prep for your RCM exams, supplement your learning in your theory classes, or check your theory homework and give you tips for success. I can tutor RCM theory rudiments (levels 5-8), harmony (levels 9-10), and analysis (ARCT) or their equivalents. We can work together to build a lesson plan that suits your needs. Whether you need weekly lessons to learn a theory curriculum and work on practice problems, daily study sessions for the week leading up to your exam, or drop-in extra help sessions, I'll customize a lesson plan that works for you. Lessons can take place virtually (over Zoom or the platform of your choice) or if you're in Toronto and you prefer in-person lessons, we can discuss a time and location that works for you. I'm looking forward to helping you learn theory and crush your exams!
