About Joyce
I completed my RCM level 10 piano exam and theory. Have been teaching piano for 7 years, preparing fun lessons for all ages to learn piano privately. My main goal is to engage and inspire students to express themselves through music. Exam is important because it sets a goal for students, but more importantly, I want my students to truly understand music and enjoy playing piano whether it's during class, at home or on stage.

My teaching methodology is to make class exciting and enjoyable yet still filled with learning materials. Starting with warm ups, then technical requirements and songs, and ending with some fun rhythm and theory related activities. Each class is designed to further the students' skills and understanding of the piano and songs they are playing. Fixing any problems or struggles they are experiencing while playing and also enhancing their interpretation, touch and emotion of the songs.

Lessons are based on the duration of time.
Theory lesson will require extra time after piano lesson, from 15 - 30 minutes.
Another option is to have an extra lesson per week during summer mainly for theory.
