About Elise

My interest in piano began through an appreciation for its versatility and ability to bring musical ideas to life. This passion led me to complete a Bachelor of Music in Keyboard Studies, a Master of Music in Piano Pedagogy, and a PhD in Piano Performance Studies. Over the past 11 years, I have guided students through a wide variety of musical experiences.

I believe effective music education should balance technical excellence with personal enjoyment. My teaching style emphasizes patience, creativity, and structured progress. Through personalized instruction and thoughtful encouragement, I help learners build confidence while reaching their musical goals.

Outside teaching, I enjoy performing, arranging music, and researching keyboard literature. These activities allow me to bring fresh insights and inspiration into lessons. Helping students discover the joy of piano playing remains one of the most fulfilling aspects of my career.

About the lesson

My Piano lessons focus on helping students build strong musical foundations while developing confidence and creativity at the keyboard. Learners work on note reading, rhythm training, finger independence, sight reading, chord understanding, dynamics, interpretation, improvisation, and repertoire development through structured and engaging learning activities. I encourage students to understand the musical ideas behind every piece they play rather than simply memorizing notes. Every lesson supports both technical and artistic growth.

Lessons are adapted according to individual goals and current experience levels. Beginners focus on posture, note recognition, coordination, and simple musical patterns. Intermediate students strengthen technique, expression, and reading fluency. Advanced learners work on performance preparation, advanced repertoire, stylistic understanding, and musical interpretation. Personalized guidance and consistent feedback help learners improve steadily.

Piano study develops concentration, discipline, and creativity. My goal is to help students become confident musicians who can enjoy and understand music throughout their lives. Every lesson supports long-term musical development and personal achievement.
