About Aria
My passion for piano teaching began with a deep fascination for music, technique, and expressive storytelling. I earned an M.Mus in Piano Performance and Music Pedagogy, which provided extensive training in both performance and teaching methods. Over 12 years, I have guided students across a wide range of abilities, helping them develop technical proficiency, expressive interpretation, and collaborative performance skills, fostering confidence at every stage.
I teach with patience, empathy, and attention to individual learning styles, ensuring that each student receives instruction tailored to their goals and preferences. Lessons combine structured exercises, repertoire study, improvisation, and ensemble practice, enabling learners to balance technical mastery with creative expression. I emphasize independence, self-confidence, and a personal connection to music, encouraging students to explore their own musical voice.
Beyond teaching, I remain actively engaged with performance, pedagogical research, and exploring new repertoire to bring fresh ideas into the classroom. Piano instruction is deeply rewarding because I witness students grow technically, musically, and personally, discovering their own unique voice and performing with skill, expression, and confidence.

I foster a supportive and encouraging atmosphere where learners feel comfortable experimenting, expressing emotion, and steadily improving their overall musicianship.
Lesson plans are personalized according to each student’s level and learning goals. Beginners focus on fundamental finger exercises, simple melodies, basic sight-reading, and rhythm practice. Intermediate learners explore expressive phrasing, dynamic control, pedaling techniques, and broader repertoire. Advanced learners refine performance interpretation, technical accuracy, ensemble collaboration, improvisation, and preparation for recitals or examinations. Each session incorporates guided practice, constructive feedback, and reflective exercises to ensure consistent progress while cultivating musical sensitivity and confidence.
Piano lessons also promote focus, creativity, and performance confidence. Students develop the ability to express themselves musically, collaborate effectively in ensembles, and enjoy the process of learning.
