About Mae
My journey with the piano began through a love of melody, harmony, and musical storytelling. This interest inspired me to complete a Bachelor’s Degree in Music followed by a Master’s Degree in Piano Performance and Education. During my 13 years of teaching experience, I have worked with students of various ages and skill levels.
I believe effective teaching combines encouragement, structure, and adaptability. My teaching style focuses on helping students understand music while developing practical performance skills. I enjoy creating lessons that challenge learners while maintaining a positive learning environment.
Outside teaching, I continue studying piano repertoire, attending concerts, and exploring new educational approaches. These experiences help me keep lessons fresh and inspiring. Helping students discover their musical abilities remains one of the most meaningful parts of my career.

My piano lessons are designed to help students develop strong musical skills while enjoying the process of learning. We focus on note reading, rhythm training, finger coordination, hand independence, sight reading, and listening awareness through structured exercises and engaging repertoire. Every lesson is planned to encourage confidence and steady improvement.
As learners advance, we explore musical phrasing, chord progressions, accompaniment styles, dynamic control, pedal techniques, interpretation skills, and performance preparation. Lessons are personalized to suit individual goals and musical interests, creating a rewarding learning experience. Regular feedback helps students strengthen both technical and artistic abilities.
I believe piano study should inspire creativity while building discipline and confidence. My goal is to help students become capable musicians who enjoy expressing themselves through music. Every lesson supports long-term musical growth and personal achievement.
