  • 1) When did you first develop a passion for music and your favourite instrument?

Music has been with me since childhood, but my professional journey started quite unexpectedly. I originally planned to become a choreographer, but the day before my entrance exam, I fell off my bike and injured my back. I couldn't perform the required splits and cartwheels during the exam, but the teachers noticed my musical ear and invited me to the vocal department instead. That's how I became a musician.

My favourite instrument is the voice. It is limitless in its possibilities and allows me to express emotions in a way no other instrument can.
  • 2) Is there a particular type of music or artist that you listen to on a loop without it driving you crazy?

I can listen to pop and jazz endlessly - these styles have an incredible energy and depth. My playlist always includes Lady Gaga, Coldplay, Rihanna, Adele, Jamala, DakhaBrakha, Okean Elzy, and The Hardkiss. They are all so different, yet each of them is incredibly powerful and authentic.
  • 3) Explain to us the most difficult or riveting course you could personally give to a student of music.

I could teach a course on how to feel music with your entire body. Conducting is not just about technique-it's an art of conveying emotions, working with musicians, and understanding every note, every accent. It's a kind of magic-creating music not with sounds, but with gestures and energy.
  • 4) What do you think is the most complicated instrument to master and why?

The voice. It's a unique instrument because it can't be replaced or repaired if something goes wrong. You have to develop it, protect it, take care of it, and constantly improve it throughout your life.
  • 5) What are your keys to success?

    1. Continuous growth - in music, you can never stop learning.
    2. Sincerity - if you don't truly feel the music, your audience will notice.
    3. The ability to work with people - music isn't just for yourself; it's meant to be shared.
    4. Adaptability - sometimes life leads you down unexpected paths (as it did for me with choreography), but if you listen to yourself, you'll always find the right direction.
  • 6) Name three musicians you dream of meeting in your favourite bar in the early hours of the morning. Explain why.

    1. Lady Gaga - not only a phenomenal singer but also an incredible musician and producer. Her depth as an artist is inspiring.
    2. Jamala - a true voice of Ukraine, whose performances are always filled with deep emotion.
    3. Chris Martin (Coldplay) - his music is so inspiring, and I'd love to know the stories behind his lyrics and melodies.

I can imagine us sitting in a cozy little bar, talking about music, improvising, and singing something together at the piano.
  • 7) Provide a valuable anecdote related to music or your days at music school.

Aside from the story about choreography, I can share the experience of recording my voice in a studio for the first time. It happened when I was 33, and the song was the Christmas classic Santa Baby. Recording in a studio is a completely different experience-it makes you hear your voice in a way you never have before. It was such a thrilling moment that made me fall in love with singing even more.
  • 8) What are the little touches that make you a Superprof in music?

    • The ability to explain complex things in a simple way.
    • Feeling music as a living energy.
    • Experience-13 years of teaching have shown me that every student is unique.
    • A deep love for music that I always try to pass on to others.
