About Marco
I received my ARCT diploma in 2017, and I have played the piano for over 10 years.
I competed in the CCC piano competition in 2015 and won 3rd place in two categories (age achievement and concert etudes). I was also part of the North York Music Festival (NYMF) and won 1st place in the age achievement class (under 17).
I have experience as a substitute teacher at Unison piano Academy for teaching students that range from RCM level 1-9.

Hi! I am offering piano lessons at a flexible rate, with flexible times, at flexible places...all I can say is that flexibility is key in my teaching method. Learning how to play the piano is important for understanding and appreciating music, as well as for personal development, but let's be real, we all have many other things in life to deal with. Whether it's school, work, or other hobbies that take up inconvenient times, if you struggle to maintain a consistent schedule to dedicate to learning the piano, I can offer lessons that you can pick up very easily, and the pay rate is calculated per half hour ($10) so you can be flexible with the lengths of your lesson.
Warning: My teaching method will be heavily based on classical music (baroque, classical, romantic, etc.) because I believe learning music theory through traditional music forms gives the students a more well-rounded understanding of where modern and contemporary music has developed from. Western music has a very long history, and students should have the opportunity to experience music from different time periods and styles.
P.S. I can also provide lessons in Cantonese, but I will always refer to musical terms in their intended language (English/Italian/German/French) because that gives students a true and proper understanding of the musical expression.
