About Lila
My passion for piano began with an early fascination with melody, harmony, and musical storytelling. I earned an M.Mus in Piano Performance and Pedagogy, equipping me with both performance expertise and teaching skills. Over 10 years, I have guided students from beginners to advanced performers, helping them cultivate technical precision, expressive artistry, and performance confidence.
I teach with patience, individualized attention, and encouragement, balancing structured exercises with creative exploration. Lessons are designed to enhance both skill and artistry, helping learners develop musical independence, confidence, and interpretive ability.
Outside the classroom, I actively perform, compose, and study new repertoire, keeping my teaching methods current and relevant. Teaching piano is deeply rewarding because I witness students grow technically, creatively, and personally, developing a strong musical foundation and a lifelong connection to music.

Piano lessons are most effective when students receive structured guidance combined with opportunities for creative expression. My teaching emphasizes finger independence, sight-reading, rhythmic accuracy, dynamics, phrasing, and stylistic interpretation. Lessons integrate technical exercises with repertoire study and improvisational exploration to help students apply skills in practical musical contexts. I create a supportive environment where students feel encouraged to experiment, make mistakes safely, and gradually build technical mastery alongside expressive confidence.
Lesson plans are tailored to the student’s level. Beginners focus on hand coordination, note reading, and basic melodies. Intermediate learners refine finger technique, expressive dynamics, sight-reading skills, and ensemble playing. Advanced learners focus on complex repertoire, stylistic interpretation, improvisation, and performance readiness. Each session includes feedback, reflection, and goal-oriented exercises to ensure measurable progress and skill retention.
Piano lessons also foster creativity, focus, and confidence. Students often gain the ability to perform both solo and in collaboration, interpreting music with nuance and personal style. My goal is to create a motivating and engaging learning environment where students develop technical proficiency, expressive skills, and a lifelong appreciation for piano.
