About Gideon

My piano teaching combines creativity and technology to make learning engaging, effective, and fun. I integrate digital tools like virtual pianos, notation apps, DAW software, backing tracks, and slow-down practice tools into lessons. These resources help students hear, see, and interact with music in meaningful ways. I focus on topics like layering harmonies, beat matching, pitch accuracy, and beginner-level music production. Lessons are designed for students who enjoy tech-based learning, respond well to audio-visual cues, or thrive with creative tasks. At the same time, I support those who work best with structure, emotional connection, and clear step-by-step guidance. Interactive apps and backing tracks make practicing rhythms, melodies, and harmonies more engaging and hands-on. Slow-down tools allow students to master challenging passages without frustration. We also explore basic composition and music production, giving students a chance to create and record their own pieces. My approach balances technical skills with creative expression, ensuring that each lesson feels meaningful and motivating. I encourage curiosity, celebrate progress, and make space for experimentation. Every student can connect with the piano in a way that suits their style and goals.

About the lesson

I’m a piano tutor with 5 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Arts in Music, with a focus on piano performance. I love creating a friendly, flexible learning environment where every student feels welcome. I have particular experience working with neurodiverse learners, including students with ADHD and learning differences.

I adapt lessons to meet each student’s unique needs, using movement, visual aids, and interactive apps to make learning engaging and clear. Music should feel playful and exciting, not intimidating, and I aim to make every lesson meaningful. I enjoy helping students explore rhythms, melodies, and harmonies in ways that spark curiosity and confidence.

Whether a student prefers structured practice, creative exploration, or a mix of both, I tailor my approach to suit them. I work with learners of all ages, from beginners to more experienced players, and design lessons that grow with each student. My focus is always on making progress enjoyable and achievable.

I celebrate small wins and encourage a love of music that extends beyond the keyboard. Lessons combine skill-building with creativity, expression, and fun. New students of all backgrounds and abilities are warmly welcome to begin their piano journey with me. Together, we can make music learning an inspiring and joyful experience.
