About Tara

Hi! I’m Tara, a multilingual tutor from London with Indian, Trinidadian, and Canadian roots. I speak English, Spanish, Arabic, and French, and I’m passionate about languages, communication, and helping students feel confident in their learning. I’m currently completing a Master’s in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography, which strengthens my creativity and ability to connect with people from different backgrounds. My teaching experience includes working in Spain as a language assistant, teaching Spanish and English in my local community, running youth workshops in London, and supporting Arabic and English translation in Calais. These diverse experiences have made me an adaptable, patient tutor who focuses on clear explanations, practical learning, and building real confidence. About the lesson

My name is Tara, and I offer student-centred Spanish lessons designed to help you gain confidence, build fluency, and enjoy the process of learning a new language. My approach is practical, immersive, and adaptable to your goals—whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to improve your conversational skills. Teaching Method & Techniques I focus on real-world Spanish through clear explanations, structured practice, and lots of speaking. I use a mix of conversation exercises, vocabulary building, grammar breakdowns, listening activities, and cultural insights to make learning feel natural and enjoyable. As a polyglot who also speaks English, Arabic and French, I can explain concepts in ways that make sense, especially if you’re learning Spanish from another language background. Lesson Structure A typical lesson lasts 50–60 minutes and includes warm-up conversation, targeted practice based on your level, and personalised exercises. I always end with clear takeaways and small tasks to reinforce what you’ve learned. Experience & Background I’ve taught Spanish to teenagers at a school in Spain, supported learners in my local community, and gained language-learning experience myself while living abroad. My background as a multilingual tutor helps me break down grammar, pronunciation, and sentence structure in simple, accessible ways.
