About Esther

I am a postgraduate-qualified professional cellist and music educator based in Auckland. I graduated from the New Zealand School of Music with a Bachelor of Music and Postgraduate Diploma in Classical Cello Performance, receiving the Dean’s Award for Excellence. I am currently a casual cellist with the Auckland Philharmonia (APO), a cello tutor at Harpitree and Blockhouse Bay School of Music, and a private cello teacher. I am passionate about creating engaging lessons that help students of all ages develop confidence, strong technique, and a love for music.

About the lesson

I offer personalised cello lessons for students of all ages and abilities, from complete beginners to advanced players. Lessons are tailored to each student’s goals, whether they are learning for enjoyment, preparing for exams, auditions, performances, or developing their technique and musical expression. With professional performance experience and a supportive teaching approach, I help students build confidence and a strong foundation on the cello.
