About Wendy
More than piano lessons — I develop confident, expressive musicians.
Dr. Wendy Huang brings university-level piano pedagogy, international performance experience, and research-based teaching directly to your home. She earned her music education and piano pedagogy degrees at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and is currently a doctoral candidate in Music Education at Liberty University.
She has also served as faculty in pre-college music programs at Harper College, North Central College, and Columbia College Chicago.
Faster progress. Deeper learning. Lasting confidence.
My students can progress 3–5 times faster than students following conventional music-academy approaches, because lessons are designed around how each student actually learns—not a one-size-fits-all curriculum.
I develop ergonomic, mind-body piano technique that frees students from technical limitations while helping them develop artistic authority, refined musical taste, creativity, and confidence. The goal isn't simply to play a piece well—it is to give students skills and confidence that remain with them long after formal lessons with me have ended.
Performance opportunities from the beginning.
As an international music festival organizer and performing musician, I have performed and brought students to perform locally and around the world. My students have opportunities to collaborate with top orchestras and perform at distinguished venues at different stages of their musical development.
You don't have to wait years to become a performer.
I help students become expressive, confident artists now—while they are still learning.

We’ve been so happy with Wendy! She is incredibly patient, professional, and knows exactly how to bring out the best in a student. My child has become much more confident and expressive at the piano, and actually looks forward to practicing now. You can really tell that Wendy cares about the student as a whole, not just getting the notes right. Highly recommend her!
