About Alisa
I am a recent graduate of the esteemed Belmont University music program with another degree in public health. I have both classical piano and vocal training at the collegiate level.
Right now, I am seeking a Master's degree and am a current graduate assistant for a collegiate speech and debate team.
Music is my life. I have been lucky to have incredible music teachers throughout my life and I would love to spread my knowledge so that others can share the same passion.

Starting with a foundation in scales and basic music theory, students should understand notes, rhythms, and hand placements. Depending on what the student likes, they can be started on a songwriting, ear training, or classical track.
As a young classical student, I had a teacher who embraced both ear training and songwriting to create a well-rounded pianist. I learned by incentives, choosing the songs I wanted to play, inspiration from the great pianists of our time, and by patience.
I prefer students anywhere from 4 years old upward and love beginners and intermediate learners. Bonus points if they love to sing as well! Teaching piano with any level of vocal pitch accuracy is beneficial to learning as well.
