About Jennifer
I’m a qualified primary school teacher with a strong passion for Gaeilge and working with children. I graduated from Maynooth University in 2023 and have two years’ experience working in primary schools, including Junior classes, EAL and SET.
I hold a B1 TEG qualification in Irish, studied Gaeilge for four years at university, and am originally from Mayo. During university, I also spent two years living in Irish-speaking accommodation, giving me valuable experience using Gaeilge in everyday life.
I am warm, patient and encouraging, and I love making learning enjoyable and building children’s confidence. I tailor my lessons to each child’s needs and use fun, engaging activities to help them develop their Gaeilge skills and enjoy learning the language.
I also have extensive experience working with children through Girl Guides, Foroige, Let’s Go, Star Camp and Mosney, including supporting children with additional needs.
My aim is to create a relaxed and positive environment where children feel comfortable using Gaeilge, making mistakes and developing confidence in their Irish, along with any other subject area they may need support with.

I offer friendly, patient and engaging one-to-one Gaeilge grinds (along with any other primary level subject) and homework support for primary school children of all abilities. Lessons are tailored to each child’s individual needs, helping them develop their Irish language skills while building confidence and enjoyment in Gaeilge.
