About Amanda
I am a certified yoga instructor trained in Thailand and I've been practicing for over 7 years. Wherever you are in your journey, I am confident I can take you further. I sequence my classes to develop strength with flexibility. To me, yoga is a lifestyle so I also like to discuss philosophy and physiological benefits if the interest is there. I practice ashtanga primary series (one of the traditional styles of yoga) and vinyasa (moving through different postures with breath). I also have a background in critical care, burns, and trauma nursing which gives me a unique perspective on life and gratitude :)

The structure of my classes largely depends on the student.
1) Private yoga classes provide students with one-on-one attention for adjustments and modifications (for the less flexible and the injured). I take the student through a full class of the style that suits them best and I accommodate for physical goals and existing injuries.
2) Lecture style classes cover topics of interest to the students such as chakras, history of yoga, sanskrit, health benefits of postures.
3) Asana clinics focus on only a few poses, breaking them down to maximize the benefit we receive from them.
