About Elena

Hi, I'm Elena, an experienced private tutor with 3 years of tutoring experience, specialising in Maths, English, and Science for Primary School and GCSE students.

I am passionate about helping students build confidence, develop strong study skills, and reach their academic potential. I believe that every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to suit individual learning styles and needs.

I have experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and work hard to create a patient, encouraging, and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process.

I offer both one-to-one tutoring and small group classes, helping students with homework, exam preparation, and strengthening key subject knowledge. I am DBS checked through the Air Cadets, providing reassurance to parents and students alike.

My goal is not only to improve grades but also to help students become more confident, independent learners who enjoy their education and feel proud of their progress.

About the lesson

My tutoring approach is student-centred, focusing on building confidence and understanding through clear explanations, guided practice, and regular feedback. I tailor lessons to each student's learning style, strengths, and academic goals, using a mix of worked examples, practice questions, and exam-style tasks where appropriate.

Lessons typically last 1 hour, although longer sessions can be arranged if needed. I have 3 years of tutoring experience, including 2 years specialising in Maths, English, and Science. I also have experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), adapting lessons to ensure they are accessible, engaging, and suited to individual learning requirements.

I teach Primary School and GCSE students, providing support with homework, exam preparation, and strengthening core skills. My aim is to create a positive, patient, and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, developing confidence, and reaching their full potential.
