About Alexandru

I graduated in 2019 and was nominated for the RIBA Bronze Medal. During my studies, I won ASCALI Design Contest for designing a new ''Study and Exhibition Space'' for UNIPART headquarters in Oxford.
I have been working as an architectural assistant for 4 years in one of the award-winning architectural practice. Successfully completed residential projects across the UK.

Prior to my Architecture Degree, I graduated from Fine Art College (interior design course): proficient in Art History, Drawing, and Painting.
I'm a third Generation Artist. All my life, artists have surrounded me. Specifically, I’m talking about my father and grandfather, who were always expressing their life experiences through the stroke of a brush. My childhood I spent in their studios going through multiple art books and prints. This imprinted into my subconscious because creating art is also a core part of who I am today. It’s what defined my adolescence. It’s what I pursued in my studies. And it’s what I draw inspiration from to enhance my design work.

About the lesson

My methodology is to teach my students to get an architect's mindset and the path of finding answers. My course covers the following:
- Becoming an Architect (general concept and vision)
- Learning to see the world like an Architect
- Generate design concepts and develop ideas;
- How to find Inspiration for projects.
- Architectural Design Process
- Sketch like an Architect
- Software tutorials: AutoCAD, Sketchup, InDesign, Photoshop, Lumion and so on.
- Portfolio structuring;
- Physical Model Making

- Support with Architecture University admissions, from mindset and portfolio to interview process.
- Architect's life and work balance - what habits to develop (tips and tricks).
