I’m Zak Drake, a former professional soccer player turned CANXL-certified coach based in Toronto. With a Kinesiology degree and years of training alongside elite athletes—including the Canadian Men’s National Team—I deliver structured, science-backed lessons tailored to your goals. I create a positive, supportive atmosphere where discipline, enjoyment, and measurable progress combine so you build skill, confidence, and a lasting love for the game.

As an ex-professional player and Head Coach of CANXL Soccer (a soccer trainer certification company) based in Toronto, I offer private soccer training that focuses on the five pillars of player development: ball mastery, athleticism, tactical awareness, football actions and mental resilience.
My lessons are tailored to each athlete’s goals, age and skill level, incorporating stage based progression, video feedback and data driven drills.
Whether you want to refine your first touch, sharpen decision making under pressure or improve overall fitness, I provide a structured yet enjoyable training environment that fosters long-term growth and confidence.

While we were visiting Toronto from Madrid with our two boys, we managed to find Coach Zak from google for a soccer training session for the kids. He was very quick with response and coordinated a field and time to accommodate us on a very short notice. He proactively asked us if there was any specific training our boys needed. He was well prepared for the training. Given our boys have been training in Madrid, we came with a high expectation in terms of training quality, and TBH Coach Zak provided the highest quality that you would typically experience in Europe. We will back in Toronto in August and will definitely reconnect with Coach Zak and we highly recommend Coach Zak to anyone who is looking for the top quality soccer training.
