About Matthew

I am a professional ballet dancer from Austalia currently dancing at Ballet Jörgen in Canada.

As a dancer for over 20 years and a teacher for 10 years, I have the experience and knowledge that will take your dancing to the next level. Whether it be for a competition, audition, or simply just to try to get one more pirouette, I am here to support you.

About the lesson

I will coach you on the variation/routine your are currently working on for your upcoming competition/audition etc.

In the 1hr lesson, we will run the routine as needed or learn and do class excerises, identify problem areas and break them down for you. This may involve doing some exercises, watching example videos to analyse or anything else that I may see as the best method to help you improve. I am happy to coach in both ballet and contemporary, whichever you choose.

If booking for choreography, I will spend the 1hr lesson getting to know your style and choreographing the piece for you. We may or may not get to coaching within this hour, dependent on how long it takes to choreograph.

If you are working on a variation/repertoire, please send me a link to the choreography prior to our lesson if you have one.

If you would like me to choreograph for you, please let me know of any theme or music you may have in mind prior to our lesson.

This is a highly customisable class, I will cater to your needs, let me know what you need and we will work something out!
