About Benjamin
Hi, I'm Ben! I'm a professional cellist, old time/Irish fiddler, and Irish guitar and bouzouki player. I studied classical cello performance at the Cleveland Institute of Music, and studied folk styles at the New England Conservatory. I'm an active freelancer in New York City on classical cello, and I play multiple shows/sessions a week on fiddle, guitar, and bouzouki. I run my own session on Tuesday nights at Putnam's Pub in Brooklyn, NY. Come say hi if you're in the city!

My pedagogy focuses on developing a relaxed and confident technique and developing personal artistry. We'll build a strong connection between the brain and the hands using exercises focused on improvisation, vocalization, and expression.
Our goal will be to form an emotional connection with the instrument right away, and learn from a place of genuine interest and passion.
Lessons on cello are for all levels!
Lessons on Old Time and Irish fiddle, guitar, and bouzouki are all levels!
Lessons on classical violin are beginner/intermediate focused.
