About Rory
I am a Computer Programming tutor with more than 8 years of teaching experience and have successfully taught over 510 students from school, university, and professional backgrounds. Throughout my teaching career, I have helped learners develop strong programming foundations while improving their confidence in software development and problem-solving.
My teaching approach focuses on practical implementation because programming is a skill that grows through consistent practice and project development. My Computer Programming lessons are designed to help students master coding concepts through practical implementation, structured learning pathways, and real-world software development projects. I teach Python, Java, C++, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, Data Structures, Algorithms, Object-Oriented Programming, Database Management Systems, and Web Development using a hands-on and project-focused approach.
Students work on coding exercises, debugging activities, application development projects, and software engineering tasks that strengthen logical reasoning and technical problem-solving abilities. Rather than focusing only on theory, I ensure that learners apply every concept through practical coding tasks and project development.
