About Licheng
I am a professional game developer with over 10 years of experience using Unity and more than 5 years working in both large and small game studios. I hold a Computer Science degree from the University of Waterloo, one of Canada’s top universities for engineering and technology.
Throughout my career, I have worked on real-world game projects and production systems, gaining a deep understanding of how games are actually built, maintained, and shipped. This industry background allows me to teach Unity not just as a tool, but as part of a complete and professional game development workflow.
I am passionate about teaching and genuinely enjoy helping students grow. I take pride in being patient, well-structured, and reliable, and I always adapt my teaching style to match each student’s level and goals. Whether you are just starting out or looking to strengthen your existing skills, I aim to provide clear guidance, practical knowledge, and a supportive learning environment.

As a veteran game developer with years of real industry experience, my teaching approach focuses on practical understanding, solid fundamentals, and real-world application. I believe game development is best learned by doing, not just watching or memorizing APIs.
I teach Unity through a project-driven and step-by-step methodology. Each concept is introduced clearly, demonstrated with examples, and then immediately applied in hands-on exercises. I pay close attention to how students think and adapt my explanations to their background and learning speed.
Teaching Techniques
- Clear explanations of core Unity concepts (C#, GameObjects, components, animation, physics, UI, etc.)
- Visual demonstrations and live coding
