About Arie

My name is Arie te Stroete, I currently work as the founder of a small freelance interiors, fabrication and graphic design firm called g(h)ezell creative design.

I attended the CIDA accrediting Bachelor or Interior Design Program in Calgary Alberta & have worked as an interior design for an Ultra-High End Residential Firm. A large national wide Architecture & Design Firm. Most recently I worked as a Pre-Constrcution & Design Project Manager for a mid-size commercial design builder, where I was able to add the practical knowledge of estimation subcontracting, hiring or consultants, cost control, vendor relations that have made me the well rounded professional I am today.

I had a fantastic design tools prof who recorded hours of video lectures for us, and I credit him entirely with my current ability in CAD, Revit, SketchUp, Vray & Adove Suite. I’d be delight to pass a little bit of that mastery on.

About the lesson

All tutoring by video, live or pre-recorded based on nature of lesson & client preference.

Lessons at the level of Interior Deisgn, EVDS, Architectural Design or Architectural Technologist or Masters of Architecture Student, as well as new grads stepping into the professional word who want to buff up their technical skills. Necessary to have moderate - strong software skills and a strong knowledge of design fundamentals and processes.

My experience of learning to master, CAD, Revit, Skethcup, Vray, Enscape, etc is that recorded video is the best way to learn for general knowledge and specific techniques. (Ex: Modeling Fluid Parametric Surfaces, Layout and Production of Professional Level Construction Documents) - I offer a series of pre-recorded lectures, or you may request I make one for you 15 - 30 mins in length

The skills I am teaching are as you know best learned by doing, so all lessons are designed so that the student is able to follow along with the video, or keep up as we work through a bottleneck together. I have a deep catalogue of software mastery, some of it from my formal design degree, much of it self taught. I know exactly what worked for me, so you can skip trying to get something from unclear YouTube videos.

Live video with screen sharing is ideal for problems of a more specific nature (struggling with a specific software feature, challenges modeling a specific architectural feature) - contact to arrange a Zoom or Google Meets Call
