About Dia
Hello! I’m Dia, a professionally trained Bharatanatyam dancer with over 14 years of training and experience. I have successfully completed all my Bharatanatyam examinations and have had the privilege of performing at various cultural events and stage performances over the years.
I have pursued my degree at St. Xavier’s College (Autonomous), Kolkata, where I have learned the importance of discipline, dedication, and continuous growth—qualities that I also bring into my teaching.
I believe every student learns differently, so my classes are completely personalized. Whether you want to build a strong classical foundation, perfect your expressions and technique, prepare for performances or competitions, or even learn Bharatanatyam-inspired choreography on Bollywood songs, I tailor each lesson to your individual goals.
My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and detail-oriented. I focus on proper posture, clean movements, expressions, rhythm, and helping students understand the beauty behind every step—not just memorizing choreography. My aim is to make every student feel comfortable, confident, and excited to learn.

Strength:
Personalized teaching is the biggest strength of these classes since every class is customized according to the goals of the learners whether they want to start from the basics of Bharatanatyam, or they want to learn a fusion, or a Bharatanatyam choreography for a performance, for school or college or they just want to do it for some time as a hobby.
Focus:
My focus will be on attention to detail, grace and correct body posture.
Extra:
I can provide recorded videos for practice purposes and there will be slow demonstrations for every movement
