About Julie
About Me
With over 25 years of experience teaching anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, and pharmacology in nursing and other health science programs, I bring both depth of knowledge and a genuine passion for helping students succeed. I have worked closely with hundreds of students at different levels, and I understand the challenges that come with learning complex health science material.
My approach is supportive, clear, and focused on results. I take pride in creating a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and working through difficult concepts. At the same time, I maintain high standards and guide students toward truly understanding the material—not just memorizing it.

My Approach as a Tutor
I focus on helping you understand the subject matter in a way that actually makes sense, so you’re not just memorizing, but learning in a way that sticks and helps you succeed on tests.
Teaching Methodology and Techniques
I break complex topics down into simple, logical steps and build from there. I often connect concepts to real-life healthcare situations so you can see how everything fits together.
In our sessions, I use:
Clear explanations (no unnecessary jargon)
Diagrams and visuals to support learning
NCLEX-style and course-based practice questions
Active learning—asking you to explain concepts back to build confidence
