About Lucas
I am an 18-year-old prospective mathematics undergraduate at the University of Warwick. Having finished 15th worldwide in season 3 of the Global Mental Calculators Association league, I am fascinated by Mathematics as a subject. As evident in my qualifications, I have extensive and detailed knowledge of the GCSE and A-level Mathematics courses.

Qualifications and academic achievements:
- Grade 9 in GCSE Maths, Physics and Chemistry
- Grade 9 in GCSE statistics (self taught in 9 months, no teacher)
- All GCSEs grade 6-9
- Predicted 4 x A* at A level (studied Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Economics)
- Gold award in senior maths challenge in 2024 and 2025
- Principal’s award for Mathematics at Sixth Form
Lessons are offered for students between Year 9 and Year 13. I use a relaxed and supportive style of teaching that helps students feel comfortable and engaged as I believe this is the most effective way for students to learn. Lessons last one hour with an optional 5-minute break if desired. Lessons can focus on targeting weaker topics, learning new topics to get ahead or preparation for exams. I adapt each lesson to the student's current ability, preferred way of learning and goals, using past papers, practice questions and worked examples where appropriate. Whilst I can also offer tuition face-to-face, online tuition is preferred as my availability is limited for in person tuition.
