About Tasnim

I have been tutoring since 2012, starting with English and Maths tutoring at a local high school. Since then, I have tutored high school students in English, Maths, GCSE Biology, GCSE English Literature, GCSE Psychology, GCSE Arabic, and GCSE French. I have also tutored A-Level students in A-Level Arabic, A-Level Biology, A-Level English Literature, and A-Level Psychology.

All students tutored have improved on their grades by at least one grade point, with one of my most recent students achieving a Grade 9 in her GCSE English Literature exam last summer. The highest level of progress I have seen with my students were those I have tutored in Biology, Psychology, and English Literature (all levels, incl. GCSE and A-Levels).

About the lesson

I'm a University of Manchester Psychology graduate, with a background in science A-levels and neuroscience. I mainly teach Biology and Psychology - although I have tutored in other subjects such as English, Maths, and Arabic - and I usually teach students between Year 7 and Year 13 (this includes preparation for GCSE and A-level exams).

Typically, my lessons are very interactive and rely heavily on practise and exam paper questions (if tutoring GCSE/A-level students). I also make use of learning outcomes in my lessons to make sure the lesson is targeted to the student's needs, and to create a clear action plan for both me and the pupil. I like to think I'm a patient and friendly person, and I'm willing to go the extra mile to ensure you meet all your targets :)

Qualifications:

- BSc (Hons) Psychology, University of Manchester (2:1)
- A-Levels: A*AA (Arabic, Biology, English Literature)
- GCSEs: 8A*s, 3As (incl. English, Maths, and Triple Science)
