About Anise

Hi! My name is Anise and I am currently studying Psychology at University of Warwick after completing A Levels in Psychology, Sociology, and Maths, and achieving two A stars and a B. I achieved strong grades throughout both secondary school and sixth form, and I understand both the challenges and pressures students can face when learning maths.

I want to teach because I genuinely enjoy helping people build confidence in subjects they may struggle with. I know that maths can sometimes feel intimidating so my goal is to create a supportive and encouraging space where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.

As someone studying Psychology, I am particularly interested in how people learn, think, and develop confidence. This helps me adapt my teaching style to suit each individual student rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. I am patient, organised, reliable, and committed to helping students improve not only their maths skills, but also their confidence in themselves!

About the lesson

Hi! I’m currently studying Psychology at University of Warwick and previously completed A Level Maths. I offer online maths tutoring for students at KS1, KS2 and GCSE level (any age under 16).

I have lots of experience tutoring and am able to tailor my teaching to each student's needs. I understand that maths can be frustrating at times so I focus on creating a calm and encouraging environment where students can learn without feeling overwhelmed and feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.

Once I identify which topics a student finds difficult, I break down concepts for them into step-by-step explanations. I use worked examples, practice questions, and interactive problem solving to ensure students fully understand and build their confidence on each topic. I adapt my teaching to the student's learning style, pace, and personality.

Lessons are typically 60 minutes long, although shorter sessions can also be arranged for younger students. Online lessons are flexible and designed to fit around school schedules.

My lessons are suitable for primary school students (KS1 and KS2) as well as GCSE students who want extra support, help improving grades, revision guidance, or confidence in maths.
