About Phil

I am an Architectural Technologist, currently running a architecture studio in Edinburgh. I am highly trained in both architectural and technical design.

I am an advanced user of AutoCAD, SketchUp, Twinmotion and Revit. All lessons are bespoke for your individual needs and pace.

About the lesson

I can tutor up to industry level and have excellent experience within the industry, having worked on a variety of both residential and commercial projects.

My lessons are therefore aimed at aspiring students who wish to have industry level tutoring to ensure their projects meet the high standards of an architectural practice or recently qualified professionals who feel they need some extra help post university/college.

Additionally, during Covid, if you have been furloughed/unemployed for a while, you may feel you are a bit out of practice and need some extra help to bring you back up to speed with your architectural/technical design or use of any software.
Now would be the perfect time to brush up on any areas you are struggling with to give you the competitive edge you need in this challenging job market, so that you have the best possible chance of scoring your dream job!

My teaching is based around 1 on 1 tutoring as well as group lessons.
First we will discuss what your current level of knowledge is and what your goals/expectations are and ultimately base each lesson around your individual needs.

I offer three types of lesson:
1) We will go on to work out a lesson structure based around your specific requirements where I can tutor you over multiple sessions to get you to where you need to be. This could be for an ongoing piece of coursework for example.
2) We can have a one off lesson where we work through specific goals/questions you have.
3) I can work with a group of people/students to help with any group work/coursework so you can achieve the best possible results.
