About Gregory
I became a French teacher because too many students leave school believing the language is dry, difficult or irrelevant. I want to change that. Speaking French transforms your world: it opens doors professionally across five continents, deepens travel experiences, connects you to an extraordinarily rich culture and way of thinking, and even changes how your brain works. My passion for France and the French-speaking world is genuine — I have lived, worked and reported there as a journalist - and that enthusiasm comes through in every lesson. I want students to fall in love with the language, not just pass an exam. When that happens, the results take care of themselves.

My lessons draw on real lived experience in France and the French-speaking world, bringing authentic cultural context that goes far beyond the textbook. I believe French is best learned through exposure to natural conversation, where grammar emerges organically rather than in isolation. We work through exam materials and drilling where needed, but I also incorporate French news, YouTube and authentic media — from films to podcasts - to develop natural listening and comprehension skills. Culture is central to every lesson, because understanding how French people actually speak, think and live is what transforms a good exam result into genuine fluency. I treat French not just as a school subject, but as a gateway to one of the world's great cultures.
