About Razmin

The main focus of our lessons will be to make the subject content enjoyable and relevant, thus this broad subject will be accessible for you. Understanding how to approach a subject that is open-ended with no fixed answer is what I will help you with.

I have been tutoring for more than 5 years; consequently I have developed a portfolio of lesson plans and resources which I will provide in the sessions. Over the 5 years of tutoring I have refined my communication skills so that my advice is specific and detailed, and more importantly, I focus on teaching the skills and techniques and not the paper, so that you can apply these skills in any paper that comes up in your exam. I will encourage you to engage with the text and the tasks I set by guiding you through each task and providing examples of top mark answers. The relevant subject content will be covered in our sessions, so that you are confident with your subject knowledge. These include, core texts, poetry, non-fiction and creative writing. To learn is to understand and to understand is to apply. This is what our sessions will continually develop on.

With a subject like English where there is no right answer it is crucial that you think critically so that you can expand on your answers. Therefore, I will make our lessons interesting, challenging and relevant to the your own experiences by using examples and tailoring the work so that it suits your needs, as well as adhering to the marking criteria. I will maintain a positive attitude so I can motivate you,and I patience as I understand the subject is broad and thinking analytically and develop your ideas can take time.
