About Esme

I have over 4 years of experience teaching French, with a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Language Education focused on French. I specialize in helping students prepare for university-level exams in French literature and critical theory. My lessons are carefully structured to develop strong skills in textual analysis, exploring literary movements, and understanding complex philosophical concepts. I emphasize academic rigor and guide students through advanced essay writing, ensuring they can express their ideas clearly and convincingly. Research techniques are also a key part of my teaching, helping learners gather and analyze information effectively. My goal is to build sophisticated analytical skills that will serve students well beyond the classroom. I work closely with each student to tailor lessons that challenge and inspire them. Through detailed discussions and practice, students grow confident in interpreting and debating complex texts. If you want to achieve mastery in French intellectual discourse, I’m here to help you reach that next level. Together, we will unlock the richness of French literature and thought.

About the lesson

My teaching approach focuses on preparing students for university life in France by helping them understand the academic system, course registration processes, and how to communicate effectively on campus. I provide structured reviews and targeted practice to build the skills needed for academic success. Lessons include practical language use for everyday university situations, such as meeting professors, joining student groups, and navigating administrative tasks.

I work closely with Heritage Learners and Travelers to strengthen their confidence in academic French and cultural adjustment. Together, we explore common challenges and develop strategies to overcome them. My goal is to help students not only succeed in their studies but also feel comfortable and connected in their new environment.

Each lesson is designed to be clear, focused, and practical, making learning both effective and enjoyable. I support my students every step of the way, ensuring they grow their language skills and cultural understanding. Let’s conquer those academic challenges together and make your university experience in France a rewarding success.
