About Emma
I`m a qualified maths teacher with experience of teaching KS3, GCSE, FSMQ and A-level maths and have over 400 hours of tutoring experience across KS3-5. My degree is in Mathematics with Statistics from The University of York. I'm an exam marker with two exam boards, giving me a great insight into what the exam boards are looking for which allows me to really improve students' exam technique and strategy. I have previously been a statistical analyst for the government which gave me real industry experience.
Tutoring sessions will be individually tailored to provide the best progress as well as focusing on building confidence in maths and exam technique. I believe it's important to emphasise the need for clear, methodical working to maximise the amount of method marks awarded as well as developing tools and strategies to allow students to approach previously unseen concepts with confidence.
