When tutoring, I prefer to use a "flipped classroom" methodology where my students will be asked to view a lesson (usually a video of some sort) and study new concepts before we meet. This method has been proven to help students achieve their academic goals faster. Our time together will be spent reviewing new concepts and putting them into practice. In other words, the "homework" is dedicated to the lesson portion of concepts and the "face-to-face" time is spent working on tasks.
