About Robert
My name is Robert, I´m 39. I am a highly qualified teacher with over 15 years experience working in education. I am passionate about teaching and it´s very important to me that everyone I work with makes strong progress. Having always been very interested in outdoor sports, my first experience of working in education came when I was 17, as a kayaking instructor. I taught children and adults how to safely maneuver a kayak down a river and I remember the sheer joy I felt from teaching people something new. This experience inspired me to pursue a career in education. Today I work as a professional teacher in Barcelona, Spain.

The most important thing for me as a teacher is the progress of the students I am working with. The learning is always the priority, so I make sure that my lessons are set up with this in mind..For me, it´s important that the lessons are fun and engaging, as I think this helps people to learn more naturally. Keeping a sense a humor can help learners to negotiate tricky new skills and concepts without getting to stressed out or worried in the process. Despite this, I am very serious about teaching as it´s so important for me that my students do the very best that they can. I am organized and plan all the lessons and I am creative in my approach, adapting to different peoples learning styles.
I use a variety of tools that help the student to learn in an engaging and meaningful way. I like to use Google Docs as it allows the student and I to work together on an activity and I can see exactly what they are writing. It also enables me to highlight any mistakes they may have made and to make corrections. In addition to this I use the ´share my screen´ feature a lot to do readings, quizzes, games and other interactive activities.
