About Ruairí
I am a qualified primary school teacher with several years of classroom experience, mainly in upper Key Stage 2. I have taught Year 6 and supported children through SATs preparation, transition to secondary school and the everyday challenges of the primary maths curriculum.
I am calm, patient and encouraging in my approach. I enjoy helping children realise that they are more capable than they think, especially when maths has started to feel confusing or intimidating.
My teaching style is clear, structured and supportive, with a focus on confidence, understanding and steady progress.

I know that many children lose confidence in maths when they feel rushed or confused. My lessons give pupils time to slow down, ask questions and rebuild understanding in a calm, supportive way.
Each lesson is planned around the child’s needs, whether that means filling gaps, practising key methods, or stretching their reasoning and problem-solving. I use clear explanations, step-by-step modelling and regular review so that pupils can see their own progress.
