As a qualified primary school teacher, my journey into education has been driven by a genuine passion for watching children unlock their potential. About the lesson

As a private tutor, my personal approach to primary education is built around the idea that every child learns best when they feel safe, valued, and understood. Unlike a busy traditional classroom, 1-to-1 tutoring allows me to completely adapt my methods to match a child's unique personality, pace, and interests.

Build Strong Foundations: Primary school is all about building core skills in literacy and numeracy. I focus heavily on making sure these fundamental concepts are rock-solid so students don't feel overwhelmed as schoolwork gets harder.

Making Learning Interactive and Fun: To keep young learners engaged, I use games, visual aids, and real-world examples. Whether we are practising multiplication through active challenges or exploring reading comprehension through a favourite topic, learning should be an enjoyable experience.

Cultivating Academic Confidence: Many students seek tutoring because they've hit a roadblock or feel anxious about tests like SATs. My goal is to break complex tasks down into manageable steps, celebrating small wins to build genuine self-belief.

A Patient, Pressure-Free Space: Mistakes are a crucial part of learning. I create an environment where children feel comfortable saying "I don't get it yet," allowing us to explore concepts at a pace that reduces stress and builds true comprehension.

My ultimate goal as a tutor isn't just to help with homework—it is to equip students with independent learning skills and the confidence to tackle new challenges on their own.
