About Klára

I became passionate about teaching and tutoring because, growing up, I didn’t always have teachers who supported my learning style or needs. That experience made me realize how important it is for every student to feel seen, heard, and supported. In a classroom, it can be hard for teachers to give each student individual attention — but tutoring is different. It allows me to focus entirely on one student, to adapt the pace, the method, and the content to suit them. I truly believe that personalized learning makes a big difference, and I love seeing students gain confidence and finally understand something that once felt impossible.

About the lesson

My Teaching Approach:
I believe that every student learns differently, so I use a variety of teaching strategies to help each learner understand the topic in a way that works best for them. I focus on building confidence, filling knowledge gaps, and making learning clear, engaging, and supportive.

Depending on the student’s needs, I may use:
-Visual aids and hands-on activities for younger students
-Step-by-step explanations for problem-solving
-Real-world examples to make concepts more meaningful
-Language support and conversation practice for ESL learners

Lesson Length:
Lessons typically run between 45 to 90 minutes, depending on the student’s age, concentration level, and learning goals.

My Experience:
I am a European-trained teacher with classroom and tutoring experience across multiple education systems. I’ve worked with a wide range of students — from early primary to adults — and have helped many develop strong foundations in Maths and English.

-Students in Years 1 to 12 (non-ATAR) needing support or extension in Maths or English (ESL)
-Learners who benefit from patient, personalised explanations
-Students from non-English-speaking backgrounds looking to improve language and academic skills
