About Sarah

I'm passionate about helping students fulfil their potential in maths! I have fantastic qualifications in maths - including a first class degree in maths from the University of York. My success in maths came from having an excellent teacher at school and I want to make sure more young people have that experience. I’m a fully qualified maths teacher, with Enhanced DBS check. As a teacher, I achieved great results for all my classes, ensuring students made excellent progress and achieved or exceeded their target grades. I can teach any level in maths from primary to A-level, but I love teaching GCSE maths in particular. I also have a Masters in Education (distinction) and I’m currently working in education policy in the civil service. I was also recently shortlisted for the Virago/New Statesman writing prize in Economics and Politics.
