About Khatijah

As a native speaker I chose to study A-level French and Alliance Française courses, I pursued a Licence in Lettres Modernes in France. This was complemented by an MA (Distinction) in Contemporary French Studies and followed by Research in Education in the UK. After obtaining QTS (Teaching Qualification in England), I taught French at secondary level, and tutored face to face or by distance for GCSE, IGCSE and A-Level using varied pedagogies and authentic resources to enhance language. In response to access to education during the COVID lockdowns, I have volunteered to help students regain confidence in their academic pathways, and have worked to teach Literacy to students who were disadvantaged by various personal circumstances. As my main objective is to get students to achieve and succeed in life, I also practise as a UK and International Higher Education Adviser. I am conversant with the UCAS application as well as university application procedures for international destinations. About the lesson

French lessons are planned according to school syllabus (primary & secondary) and for most examination boards, including DELF exams. For 18+ French lessons address learners' interests and requirements. English lesson - English Literacy and Phonics are used to help beginners read confidently after a few weeks.
