About Tatyana
Hi! I'm Tatyana and I can be your child's math tutor! I have work experience tutoring Kindergarten-4th grade along with teaching experience with PreK-4th grade as well! As I've been cultivating myself as an educator, I've made it important to ensure that I tailor to children's needs through their style of learning and their interests! I also love providing students with the choice to choose which way they'd prefer to engage in sessions! I also love incorporating games into learning!

A typical lesson or session from me will consist of a 1-3 minute check in along with setting goal for session, 3-5 minute warm up, 3-5 minutes reviewing the warm up (how tutee came up with answer, if it was correct, any confusions, any questions etc.), 10-15 minutes of direct instruction, 10 minutes of guided/ we-do instruction with tutee (brief check in with tutee to see if there's any confusion or questions), 5-10 minutes of independent work (tutee is doing problems independently, asking for help when needed), 5 minutes of reviewing answers, and remainder of time asking tutee what they found easy, what they found hard, and one thing I could do better as the tutor to help the tutee and stating next sessions goal!
These lesson are centered towards math k-4 with the approach (hands on, finger counting, virtual manipulatives, math games, etc) varying by grade level.
