About Justin
Throughout my life, I have tutored friends and family in various subjects so I am familiar with finding different approaches to teaching. As a 3-sport athlete at Damien High School, I have intimate personal experience with balancing extra-curricular activities and school. As a physics graduate from JHU, I am more than familiar with tackling difficult problems. As such, I have had to learn to approach problems in multiple ways to find unique solutions. My credentials, diverse experiences, and love for learning make me an excellent candidate for teaching a variety of subjects to a multitude of students.

In Brief: Like snowflakes, every student is unique, and thus, my approach to teaching is tailored to the student. However, this generally begins with identifying the source of the issue when learning a particular subject. Then the lesson will be focused on improving those issues while also practicing their strengths.
[Example Lesson Plan]
First Lesson: (~30 min)
- Introductions: (1-5 min)
- Identifying the Issue: (10 - 20 min)
--> Isolating strengths and weaknesses through example
problems. (5-10 min)
--> Redirecting their approach or thought process if it is
incorrect or inefficient. (5 - 10 min)
- Solving Immediate Problems: (10-20 min)
--> If there is homework, observe the approach to problems to
test if the student resorts to old habits.
--> Creating and solving example problems in detail to give the
student references so that they can solve the problem
independently.
- Summary: (5 min)
--> Summarize the lesson and establish reasonable
learning goals and expectations.
