About Clara
I just graduated with honors from UCSB with a degree in Physics. I received the Dean's Undergraduate Award, an Award of Academic Achievement within my major, and I graduated Phi Beta Kappa. I taught Physics lectures for the on campus tutoring group, and also offered private tutoring. After graduation, I continued private tutoring in math and physics, and taught Geometry classes for high school students. All the while, I made sure to connect with my students, figure out their learning style, and provide resources and assistance to give them the tools to succeed!

I believe that each individual learns in their own way, thus my teaching must change to fit my students. While some benefit most from drawing pictures, others need to see an actual demonstration of the concept (especially with physics). Breaking down complicated problems into steps through guided practice makes everything more manageable, and then by repeating the process on their own, students have the chance to solidify their new skills, and find where there are still questions we need to go over together.
