About Kassia
I am a recent graduate from University of Waterloo looking for jobs in education, specifically private lessons and tutoring. I completed my undergrad in visual Arts along with a major in Peace and conflict studies learning about community development and with many courses focused on peace and education. My first year out of school was teaching English in Ecuador, where I gained professional teaching experience in both a university and high school setting. With this year of teaching and my many years of tutoring experience in the community, I am eager to continue working alongside students and continuing this type of work which I am continually passionate about.

My teaching methodology is student based approach. I am here for the students and their needs. Tutoring and teaching starts with students, and classes and tutor sessions are based on their specific learning styles, and pace. Constant listening, patience, encouragement, and empathy is essential for helping my students to succeed and feel confident in themselves. Encouraging creativity and critical thinking is a strong value of mine, and giving students space to explore is important part of my teaching.
